Download The Dutch private equity market in 2007 (pdf) Despite the increased importance of buy-outs, there is insufficiënt knowledge about the economic and social effects of them. That is why the NVP, in cooperation with Ernst & Young, commissioned a survey into the consequences of buy-outs for the companies, their employees and management. A total of 70 Dutch companies which were the subject of a private equity-backed buy-out during the period 1994-2005 reported on the impact of this event on, among other things, their investment and growth strategies, employment and performance. Research has been done by the Centre for Management Buyout Research (CMBOR) of the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, in cooperation with the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
