Brussels, 4rd February 2009
PEREP_Analytics, a pan-European private equity data platform, has added three new board members to its governing board.
The appointments include an insititutional investor and two academics, and bring the total number of board members to nine.
• Sergey Sheshuryak is a partner at Adam Street Partners, an institutional investment firm. He specializes in venture capital fund investments in Europe and sits on the advisory boards of ten private equity firms within the Adams Street Partners portfolio.
• Sophie Manigart is a full professor at the department of Accounting & Corporate Finance at Ghent University and partner at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School.
• Peter Roosenhoom is a full professor of Entrepreneurial Finance and Private Equity and a CFA Program Director at RSM Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The candidates were voted by the Election Committee, consisting of the heads of all PEREP-endorsing national associations.
“ The addition of two specialist industry academics and one of Europe’s leading fund investors is a great endorsement for PEREP_Analytics,” said Professor Christoph Kaserer of the Technical University of Munich, and chairman of PEREP_Analytics. “These appointments attest to the independence of the platform, and their expertise will provide further assurance that its output continues to be robust and relevant.”
The governing board of PEREP_Analytics assesses the demand and relevance of research projects, and audits the processes and methodology of data gathering and publication.
Since PEREP_Analytics was launched in 2007, 16 national private equity and venture capital associations in Europe, as well as the pan-European association EVCA, have committed to undertaking their data collection exercises through this platform. In addition, the completion of PEREP_Analytics’s activity survey became compulsory for all members of EVCA, further enhancing the quality of the data.
